The golf team put together back-to-back wins over Dracut and Methuen to improve to 7-2. The Hillies will look to avenge one of their earlier season losses to Central Catholic when they host the Red Raiders at Bradford Country Club on Thursday.
The cross country teams competed in the Ocean State Invitational in Rhode Island on Saturday. Freshman Finleigh Simonds led the way finishing eighth out of 177 runners. Brynne LeCours placed 67th as the girls finished 14th as a team. On the boys’ side, Ben Craven was the top finisher placing 90th.
The crew teams participated in the Head of the Merrimack regatta in Methuen on Saturday. The girls’ varsity crossed the line in 20:55.4 for a 10th place finish.The boys’ first 8 came in 5th overall in the men’s junior 8 competition, coming across at 17:39.6. Next up for the Hillies is the Textile River Regatta in Lowell on October 6.
The girls’ volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season but came back with a pair of wins over Billerica and Dracut. The Hillies are now 8-1. They will travel to Andover on Wednesday and North Andover on Friday.
The field hockey team played to a 0-0 tie with Lowell last week before falling to North Andover. The Hillies will look to get back in the win column at Methuen on Friday.
The boys’ soccer team has won five of its last six games and sits at 5-3-1 at the halfway point of the season. The Hillies took down Methuen 1-0 and Billerica 2-1. They will be at Lowell on Thursday afternoon. The girls’ soccer team grabbed its third win of the year by defeating Malden and will be in action at home against Billerica on Thursday.
The football team fell to 0-3 after dropping at 39-22 decision at Westford Academy on Saturday.. The Hillies will be home this weekend to host rival Methuen. The time and date have been moved from Friday to Saturday at 3:00 PM. Fans can now enter through both sides of the Stadium as an additional entrance has been added at Riverside Park. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
The Hillie swimmers fell to 3-2 on the year and will travel to Methuen on Wednesday.
