The girls’ swim and dive team continued its impressive run through the regular season. The team has reeled off three straight wins to improve to 5-1 on the year. The Hillies will travel to Chelmsford on Friday then return home for the final meet of the season on October 26 against Central Catholic.
The football team downed Andover 24-3 on Friday night, setting up a huge showdown with rival Central Catholic this week. Playoff seedings and the possibility of a conference title will be on the line when the Red Raiders visit Trinity Stadium Friday night. Kick-off is slated for 7:05 PM. The Hillies are 4-2 overall and 2-1 in MVC play.
The girls’ volleyball team is looking to be the first Hillie team to qualify for post-season this year. The Hillies are 8-4 and need just two wins in their last eight matches to qualify. The Hillies host Dracut on Friday evening.
The cross country teams participated in the Bay State Invitational in Northfield over the weekend. Gabby DeRoche was the top finisher for the girls at 31st and the team placed 30th overall. Keith May came in 34th and the boys team was 35th overall.
The girls’ soccer team is also eyeing another playoff berth. With an important 1-1 tie at Tewksbury, the Hillies moved to 6-3-2 on the season. The boys’ soccer team has been on a roll as of late, going 2-0-1 in its last three matches. The Hillies defeated Methuen and Central Catholic and played to a 2-2 draw with Lowell.
The golf team will compete in the MVC Championship at Vesper Country Club this Thursday.
The Hillie crew teams participated in their second regatta of the year on Sunday. They competed well and improved at the NH Champs race in Pembroke, NH.
The field hockey team will play two home games this week, hosting Chelmsford tonight and Lowell on Friday.
